Hello,

I have an extension of stay "under consideration" stamp. Im dued on Aug 10. Based on marriage to a Thai husband. However there is a chance that my husband cannot present with me on that day.

Is it possible to change the date? Anyone here has this kind of experience before?

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about their upcoming application for a 1-year extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai husband, specifically asking if they could change the date due to their husband's potential absence. Community responses clarified that the date cannot be changed, but the husband's presence is not mandatory for the application. Several users confirmed they successfully obtained extensions without their spouses present.

Hello, just a quick follow up to this post. I went to CW yesterday and got my 1-year extension. My husband's presence was not required as being said. I was in and out around 45 mins. Thank you for your advice!

I specifically asked Korat imm. about this as mine is due 14 Aug and my wife just had a baby. They said she doesn’t need to come.

So my husband doesn't have to be there with me. Is that right?

This is my first time apply for 1-year extension though.

you already applied for the year extension and have the 30 day under consideration stamp in your passport, just show up on that date with your passport and your receipt.

If you're unsure call the immigration office and ask them. BUT most people just show up without their thai spouses to get the rest of the extension inked in

You cannot change the date, you show up on the date stamped into your passport

There is no requirement that your husband show up with you on that date.

You show up with your passport and the blue/green receipt for the 1900baht extension and they will put the new extension into your passport
