I am applying for a DTV visa and just wondering if after 2 years l want to change visa type is that possible to do in Thailand.

The DTV is a tourist visa so you should be able to convert that to another visa inside Thailand in the same way you can for a standard tourist visa or visa exempt entry

The law that created the DTV says you can convert to other visa types while inside of Thailand. Whether you're actually able to do so will be up to your immigration office at that time.
