Hi, now that 1-day hotel quarantine scheme has dropped out. I have received Thailand Pass QR Code already as i already registered two weeks ago.

Can i just cancel the hotel booking? and come in Thailand as normal?

thank you so much for your inputs! :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
With the recent end of the 1-day hotel quarantine scheme, travelers who have already received their Thailand Pass might wonder if they can cancel existing hotel bookings. Although the announcement is not yet published in the Royal Gazette, past experiences suggest that previously issued documents like the Thailand Pass may remain valid under new rules, allowing for flexibility in bookings.

I’m wondering the same (got my TP 10 days ago for arrival on 13 May). In the past already issued COE’s and TP’s were grandfathered into the new rules, hoping that will happen again

(E.g. when I booked in September to go in November, I had to apply for a COE and book 3 PCR tests and 7 nights in Phuket, by the time I flew they had switched to the ThailandPass and only required 1 PCR and 1 night in Phuket. I was still allowed to enter using the COE and could cancel the 2nd and 3rd PCR’s and 6 nights in Phuket, got refunded for everything)

Hi. I was told that you can just cancel the hotel and use the same QR code. It’s also said the same on the Thailand Pass website now 🙂

What’s your travel date? The announcement about May 1st is not official until it’s published in the Royal Gazette.

From reports you’ll still need a ThailandPass and the requirements to get one won’t change until the announcement is official. Usually the publication in the Gazette is made last minute, so you may be cutting it fine.
