TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain an education visa (Non-Immigrant ED Visa) for Thailand, first, choose an educational institution and enroll in a program. After enrollment, the school will provide the necessary documentation to apply for the visa. It is advisable to arrive on a 30-day visa exemption, apply for the education visa within that timeframe, and you can extend your stay based on the school's paperwork after completing 90 days of classes.

You can not just apply for an Education Visa. You first find out what you like to learn, choose an education facility and subscribe with them. They will give you the paper work needed to go abroad and apply for the Single Entry Non Immigrant ED visa. Than after 90 days of following classes, the school will give paper again to extend your stay.

I came in on a 30 day exemption and applied within a week and got the paperwork back before the 30 days was up. Was all pretty simple with the school I used but can extend if you need to.
