Hi everyone, I entered Thailand on a 60-day visa-exempt stamp (arrived July 31, stamp expires Sept 28).
I received my school documents just today. But in this document from immigration page it says more than 15 days before visa expiration. Can I still apply directly for the ED visa (TM.87) at Chaeng Wattana tomorrow? Has anyone here applied in a similar situation recently? Any advice is very much appreciated 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about applying for an ED visa (TM.87) at Chaeng Wattana with a 60-day visa-exempt stamp expiring soon. A commenter clarified that the application can only be made if there are 15 days or more remaining on the current stamp. Since the user does not have enough time left, they should first apply for a 30-day tourist visa extension at a separate office before applying for the ED visa.
No, you cannot. At Chaengwattna, you must have 15 days or more remaining with your current stamp (visa-exempt or tourist visa). Now that you don't have enough days remaining, you must apply for a 30-day tourist extension first at the IT Square Laksi Plaza office, and then you are eligible to apply for an initial in-country visa at the Chaengwattana office. You need to check with them whether you can apply for a tourist extension and an initial in-country visa on the same day or not, in your case.
