Can I apply for an ED visa while on a visa exemption in Thailand, or do I need to leave the country?
Hi guys, I'll be flying to Thailand in 2 weeks. I want to start as a tourist with a visa exemption but start learning Thai in Chiang Mai via an ED visa. Do I need to leave the country to get the visa or can I stay in Thailand? Thanks in advance!

That's completely to the school. You need to find out from them if they're able to do it with their local immigration. Some schools can and some cannot.
