My Non-O Visa was not completed by the Los Angeles Consulate, I am now in Thailand on a 30 day stamp.  Can I leave the country and apply for a Non-O from say Laos or Vietnam?

What do you mean it "was not completed" Do you mean it got cancelled (due to a data entry error) or rejected (due to not meeting the requirements)? What is the status of the visa in the eVisa online system currently when you log in and check? If that visa isn't in any type of pending status you can go to a nearby country and apply online thru the thai consulate there.. You can show proof of funds using your bank in your country to meet the financials.. Vietnam it's all online, apply, pay wait, but in Lao you need to apply online, get a QR code, print that and then go to the consulate in either Vientiane or Savannakhet to pay in cash for the visa to start the processing. The thai consulates in both Lao and Vietnam are pretty fast processing time once you submit the application (as long as they don't have to email you for additional documentation), usually just 3-4 business days

I applied, they requested a "Hand Written Letter" my wife wrote a letter I scanned it to a PDF and submitted it the next day then nothing from them until a day or so a notice said to contact the Consulate, with no # or email, I sent an Email to the info@ Email address for the LA Consulate and today the Application is gone from my profile. So now I sit here with a 30 day stamp and I guess a trip to Vientiane or Savannakhet in my future.

DON'T TELL THEM you have left the USA. Ask them to kindly approve your Non O visa application...as you are now not seeing online your approval or denial.

So you must leave Thailand and re-enter to Activate the Non O Visa you have received.

Print out the PDF email sent to you with the Thai Visa.

Show it to the Thai Immigration officer on reentry to activate it.

I was referred to the

Email address, sent an email asking about the status. answer came back to check the status, when I did I saw the application and the flagged request for document, (wife's letter) I reuploaded the letter and received an acknowledgement, no acknowledgement was returned the first time I sent the letter. Today I checked the profile and my Non-O has been approved! Thank You James Miller and Tod Daniels!!! So do I now leave and enter on the Non-O? When I had asked at the Immigration Desk at the Airport the Immigration Officers had said I could change my 30 day stamp to the Non-O at Samut Prakarn IO if it was approved after I was stamped in.

well if it's not in the system as a waiting documents, pending document check, pending approval, you're good to go to a nearby country and apply no issues..

My wife received the same response from the system that I just received when she texted my question a week ago, but I will let you know if I get an answer.
