TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among commenters is that the Thai consulate in Kuala Lumpur typically only issues single-entry NON-B visas, not multi-entry ones. Options for obtaining a multi-entry NON-B include using the Thai consulate in Penang, Malaysia, provided you fulfill the requirement of having a work permit with at least 8 months validity. It's suggested to check the immigration office in Chiang Mai (CM) for possibilities as well.

Googling around it appears that the thai consulate in KL will only issue single entry Non-B's.

Most people use Penang, and you will need a work permit with at least 8 months validity on it to get on there.

No. Kuala Lumpur gives only single entry (90 days) non immigrant b visa.

Penang is a better choice.

8 months validity on your work permit means that the day you apply one year visa, your wp must have a residual validity of at least 8 months.

You cannot get a year-long, multi-entry Non-B at either thai consulate in Lao (Vientiane & Savannakhet). They will only issue 90 day single entry.
