Additional question about different aspect of same visa run. I will cancel the Non-imm B visa/M-WP on 31 Mar. If I want to apply for a 7 day extension, I'll have to go to CW on the same day, correct? // And assuming it's granted, would leaving on the 6th be within bounds? // What are chances of getting 7 day extension? Any reason they would refuse? // I saw someone here mention a 14 day extension. Is that a thing?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the process of applying for a 7-day extension after canceling their Non-Immigrant B visa/M-WP. They inquire about the timing of applying for the extension and whether leaving the country shortly after the extension is granted would be permissible. Community responses indicate that while a 14-day extension is not available, a 7-day extension may be granted depending on circumstances, such as affiliation with BOI or specifics of the visa. However, there is a risk that the extension might be denied, which could result in being issued a 7-day departure notice.
As you stated, you did all your visa or extension of stay at the One Stop Service Center of the Board of Investment of Thailand at the office at Chamchuri square in Bangkok.
As special arrangements are made for these visa and work permit holders, best is to go visit them and ask the questions.
I mean, if your extension cancellation cannot get that 7-21days lenient days to leave the country same to BOI, you need to apply for new extension with whatever reason, then it will be denied, IO would stamp you 7days "extension application denied". For that, you need to apply a new extension at CW.
Yeah there aren't many of these issued and you have to jump through all kinds of hoops to get one. Will go talk to them for sure. Thanks again for input.
If your company is BOI/IEAT, could be granted 7 (actually 0) to 21days to leave the country and it's not application denied..
It depends on officer you can get 7days or less when application of extension is denied. Mostly you might get 7days to leave starting on the day of application.
