Hi everyone

I am in Thailand from last 3 years with my husband’s dependent visa(Non’O’). Now i got job and my school is providing me work visa. For that i went to India for getting Non ‘B’ visa but before leaving this country I didn’t cancel my dependent visa so coming back to Thailand immigration officer stamp on my dependent visa and now i want stamp on my Non ‘B’ visa( now I canceled my dependent visa and i can stay here till 10th feb)

Can i get stamp from near by country like laos and myanmar( Border run)? Or i have to go to India and come back?

Please advise

Thank you in advance 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on activating their new Non-B work visa after previously entering Thailand on a dependent Non-O visa. They are unsure whether they can do a border run to a nearby country, like Laos or Myanmar, or if they must return to India to activate the Non-B visa.

your problem started by NOT canceling your yearly extension at the immigration office BEFORE you left the country to go get a Non-B visa, AND for not telling the immigration office when you stamped in that you had a NEW Non-B visa.

GO to the immigration office and CANCEL your current extension of stay, go to a land border, stamp OUT of thailand, stamp in&out of another country then stamp back into thailand on your 90 day Non-B visa. <- You MIGHT need to fly out and back to do this, but I'm not sure

Honestly there shouldn't be any reason why you couldn't do a quick trip to a nearby country and re-enter Thailand to activate your Visa.

I think Indians can't do, but I am not so sure
