TLDR : Answer Summary
Foreigners can buy condominium units in Thailand without needing a specific visa, which provides benefits such as easier banking and potential rental income. However, opinions on whether to buy or rent vary widely, with some advising against purchasing due to concerns over property value appreciation and maintenance issues.

Yes, might make opening a bank account easier, no, maybe but don't plan on it being worth more when you go to sell it.

Just be careful and make sure to view the property prior to making any down payment in person!!

All my friends in Thailand recommended that I should just rent so I wouldn’t have to worry about maintaining the place especially there tends to be issues with termites and other bugs!
