Not many are able to open bank accounts with DTV. As the BOT sees DTV are as tourist visa. So bank accounts are a little harder to open due to the more stricter rules of account opening.

Not for many months. DTV holders are not eligible to open bank accounts as a DTV visa is a tourist class visa, and banks are no longer willing to open accounts for tourists.
