Hi everyone, just wondering if there are any DTV holders here who work remotely and already own a condo in Thailand?

Have you had any luck opening a bank account?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the challenges DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) holders face in opening a bank account in Thailand, particularly for those who own a condo. Comments indicate mixed experiences, with some people stating that owning a condo does not guarantee the ability to maintain a bank account, as banks often regard the DTV as a tourist visa, thus disqualifying holders from account eligibility.

DTV sucks. I own 2 condos in Pattaya and my bank account which I used to buy these condos just got closed by the bank.

Reason given : I’m on DTV , which is legally considered as a tourist visa as they told me !!

Have a search through previous posts. The results are mixed. Usually people already owning a condo kept their account but not all cases.

You’re not eligible to open a Thai bank account on a DTV as it’s a tourist visa not a resident visa.
