TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion addresses whether a professional eBay account can be operated under a DTV (tourist) visa in Thailand. Responses indicate that without a legal business entity and tax compliance in Thailand, operating such an account is not feasible. One commenter highlights the need for a legitimate business to receive documentation from eBay and the difficulties in obtaining a Thai PayPal account without a Thai ID. There are also considerations regarding the legality of selling items for profit while on a tourist visa.

Assuming the ebay account is a company then get said company to write letter saying you are allowed to work for them remotely

If you have an actual legal business, that you pay taxes on then maybe, but without a legitimate business then no, as eBay will not give you any documentation stating you are allowed to work remotely, or that you work for them. You need a separate legal business.

DTV is a tourist visa. I doubt you will get a Thai PayPal account as no Thai ID Card. As for business you cannot have a legal entity in Thailand as above poster pointed out.

What would you be selling? You certainly can't be selling items in, or from Thailand, for profit/business.
