Hello everyone.

I'm trying to help a friend.

He is landing in Phuket but want to do the first night of quarantine in Krabi (in the test&go program).

His flight company (TUi) said he can, but I was thinking the first night might be where he will land (so Phuket in his case).

And I cannot find the official information.

I have a friend who did it. You need to find a sandbox hotel in Krabi. They book the transportation and then this together with the PCR test is uploaded to the one pass system.

correct, but when applying for the test&go they need to upload the hotel booking confirmation in krabi for one one night together with the transportation. separately they need to apply for the pcr test and pay online.

As far as my experience goes, I believe your friend has to do his first night at the port of entry.

You need to stay in Phuket one night before travelling elsewhere. My son is having to do it next month before travelling to Lanta next day.

I did read also about the 5 hour drive but must be by transport arranged by the hotel they book at can not be private arrangement. Also maybe someone can confirm

I think you can stay at a hotel within a 3 or 5 hour drive of the airport, not sure which, hopefully someone else can confirm.
