Hi - and apologies in advance, if this has been asked before:

Has anyone here been able to obtain either a DTV or LTR (non-retirement) as a sole trader and investor?

If so, could you DM with the details of the legal practice used (if any)

Many thanks in advance,

Steph

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the possibility of obtaining a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) or LTR (Long-Term Residency Visa) in Thailand as a sole trader and investor. Several comments confirm that while the LTR may not be an option for this category, the DTV is attainable. Participants suggest demonstrating business operations and provide evidence of registration, with one person mentioning a program through a Muay Thai school as a potential pathway for the DTV visa.

Hi
@Stephanie ******
,

Yes, it’s possible to apply for a DTV visa as a sole trader or investor, including through the soft power route (like Muay Thai or Thai cooking), whether for retirees or not.

I actually looked into it myself and I know a Muay Thai school offering a program for around €500 (for DTV) if that’s helpful.

Sole traders have been approved for the DTV, check the main DTV FB group. Basically show how you operate your business online, provide registration details.

LTR not an option for that. But DTV might be.
