Hi, if I do a one day visa run (stamped 30 day tourist visa after Ed visa expired) do I still need to report to immigration with TM 30? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
After completing a one day visa run and obtaining a 30-day tourist visa, you are required to report to immigration using the TM 30 form, especially if you intend to extend your visa. It's advisable to check in at a hotel for a night to ensure your registration is properly handled.

Need to be registered if you plan to extend your visa. Best to book into a hotel for a night and ask that they register you.

If you already registered using the TM30, than only an update is needed at some Immigration Offices if you leave the country and come back. Even when it is only for minutes by a border run. No need for a new registration or hotel booking.

Yes you do

I guess you like to do a border run to get a new Visa Exempt Entry for 30 days, not a one day visa run ๐Ÿ˜‰. afaik in Chang Mai you have to update your new entree date and TM6 Departure card in the system.
