I wish to know how can a foreigner sell legally in Thailand in one of these “thrifting” events.. is there a temporary visa like in Europe?

(If you are old and tard, don’t comment. The question is not for you. Already plenty tards replied. If your only goal is to see your own words on a screen because nobody listens to you in real life, do it somewhere else, thanks.)
Answer summary
A foreigner cannot legally sell goods at thrift events in Thailand without a work permit. Such activities, including selling second-hand luxury goods, are restricted to Thai citizens. There is no temporary visa available for this type of activity. Although some users mention seeing goods sold on platforms like Facebook Marketplace, doing so legally requires adherence to strict regulations and often involves forming a company with Thai employees.

getting moralised by somebody who wonders if she can sell second hand luxury goods on market in thailand . is the funniest thing I've seen lately .

for your in

info : any second hand item I've got ,I give away to people in need .

and I don't have to go on your profile to know who you are . your stupid question is proof of your deep ignorance .and wanting to sell second hand luxury goods just shows how very very busy of a person you might be .

enjoy your day

and don't forget ;if you're rich enough to buy luxury goods . you should be generous enough to give them away once you used them .

OP
Giorgio Akha Listen, what I choose to do with my property is absolutely none of your business, so keep your nose out of it. Honestly, bragging about your "charity" just proves what an empty headed, senile old fool you’ve become. Real generosity doesn't need a megaphone. Like I told you before, do everyone a favor and crawl back to the circus you crawled out of. It’s clearly the only place where someone as pathetic as you belongs.

Alessandra Dove Sei you are so stubborn , you don't understand how more and more ridiculous you're getting .

why don't you hide in a tent made of your superficial luxury goods ..??

Richie Payne And you’re cheap. Unlike my items, which actually have value. Your only "worth" is the fake life you post to hide the fact that you're unwanted.

Thanks all, I have seen there’s big events of second hand luxury brands and was thinking on participating, hiring a thai of course.. but based on your replies this is not applicable in Thailand. I will continue and do my researches on alternatives or just sell it in Vestiare as usual, thanks all 🙏🏻

We … as told even you hire a thai , u as the owner need to have a Workpermit for this “ shop” on the market or fairs ,.. actually here are a lot of second hand shops , my advice do a good market research before

OP
Reiner On Phuket thats exactly what i was asking, but as temporary vendor, not physical shop. No need a market research for luxury brands like Hermes, Chanel.. but thanks 🙏🏻

No, as one of the restricted occupations for Thais only is vending, which means you can not do any kind of business where you are taking money from any retail customer, and what you want to do would involve taking money from retail customers. It can not legally be done under any circumstances.

Gray Allen technically yes, but it is not dealt with unless someone actually files an official complaint.

Kool Breez incorrect, as long as you have the right visa and it’s approved such as BOI you can do that job….. I did it before

Enthusiastic_coffee_now you can not legally sell to any retail customers, and take their money. Just because you did it simply means you weren't caught. That doesn't mean it was legal. Vending is a restricted occupation for Thais only.

FB Marketplace is a scammers site.

95% of the buyers never received their items and of those that did.... almost all received items they did not buy instead of the items they ordered.

META cannot do anything about these scammers as they will disappear after collectingnpayment and come back again wirh new name.

The PM of an ASEAN country was a victim of FB Marketplace where he was scammed after payibg for an item that was not delivered and the seller MIA. META was threatened to be shut down and banned from his country if they do not assist to identify the scammers.

Mark Zuckerburg personally reimbursed the PM for his loss and explained why even FB themselves are unable to rein in these scammers.

No temporary visa for this type of activity. You need a work permit which you will only get by forming a company with Thai employees.

There is a market for 2nd luxury goods and you can sell on FB market place but the problem with selling at thrift fairs etc is that loads of Thais will get jealous and grass you up to the authorities.

Alessandra Dove Sei if your concerned about having money you maybe shouldn't go. If you are trying to make and sell things you should do that in your country. That way when you are thailand you can give back to that community by purchasing their goods.

you from DOHA you tell me to go back to the circus ? .

Stay with your luxury goods and the superficiality that goes with it .

but don't pretend to teach any morality to any one .

you already proved who you are with your stupid question

why don't you try to sell your luxury goods in second hand markets in DOHA .

Graham Seal any type of non tourist visa and/or temporary trading licence, it’s usually for a very short term. I am originally European, we have it. I was wondering if it exists here too.

Alessandra Dove Sei it doesn’t exist here Alessandra. That’s the bottom line. No harm in asking but I fail to see why anyone would go to your shop with the hostility you seem to behold.
