If I use the e gate to arrive on a 30 day exempt..obviously it won’t be stamped…can it still be extended at immigration same as if stamped in!? Thanks 🙏🏿
Answer summary
When entering Thailand on a 30-day visa exemption through the e-gate, it's common to wonder about the absence of a stamp. Although you won't receive a physical stamp, you can still extend your stay at immigration. It's advisable to ensure your entry through a staffed passport control to receive a hard stamp, which might help avoid complications.

it would appear when you go thru the e-Arrival auto-in gates you'll get a paper receipt which you need to hold on to so you can copy it for the extension application
You know what? I don't care about the wait time. Every time, everywhere, I'm gonna get a manned desk to stamp me out and stamp me in. I want it official and in the passport. Convenience be damned.
