TLDR : Answer Summary
Concerns have arisen about the Digital Tourist Visa (DTV) holders being turned away or receiving only 60 days instead of the standard 180 days upon entry into Thailand. However, comments from users indicate a lack of evidence supporting these claims, with multiple individuals stating they have not experienced any issues with their DTV status. Some users requested factual backing for the claims, suggesting the reports may stem from misinformation.

I suspect the problems are with people who had forged 500,000 baht bank statements or they have wasted the money, they no longer have 500,000 baht in their account and when they go to apply for an extension to their visa they are asked for these documents and they don't have them to show🤔

do t forget the game LLC letters. Many hiding out from being drafted. Eventually, Thailand or their home country will take care of them.

If they don't have the documents for an extension then they just leave the immigration office and nothing happens. Then they leave Thailand and return. Has nothing to do with the question that was asked.

Sorry Bro. Maybe I misunderstanding.. !

I don't have dtv but want apply. If have when I go in and out after 6 month mean extension right? And in this case they can ask show balance in account bank?

🤔

@Mauro ********
Don't bother trying to get an extension. Immigration doesn't want to issue them and makes it impossible to get it. Instead you just leave every 6 months and return to get a new stamp. Immigration even recommends you to do that.

Sorry for my questions. Mean after apply visa balance should be always more then 500k ? 🫢

Mean like frozen money for 5 year..

@Mauro ********
...DTV extension requires a 500.000Baht financial proof, similar to the initial application. You will need to show you have 500,000 Baht available in your bank account during the extension process within Thailand, although you do not need to prove it again when re-entering the country with a valid DTV visa...

people make up these new Acronyms and dont realise already been used. Never heard FUD in that context before In Britain its short for fuddy duddy (you old fud) and in Glasgow where i am from its a bit ruder. You may just consider using normal English in posts.

not sharing any examples then? Well done for wasting everyones time. Hopefully you find something better to do soon

haven't see any reports like that about DTV holders (not that I know what FUD means!). why don't you share some, maybe even just 1? you might have some credibility then, and might be adding some value...
Darren *********
Other than Ben who hates the dtv no one has had any issues. I suspect if there are dtv issues it will start on the soft power side.

Unless you can link to one of these reports I suspect you are just someone looking to cause issues or stir drama.

Stop spreading misinformation unless you have facts to back up the post 🤦🏻‍♀️💩
