Hi guys! ED visa holders, please share your latest experience about entering via Suvarnabhumi airport with re-entry permit.
Smooth or any issues?
Answer summary
ED visa holders have shared mixed experiences when entering Thailand at Suvarnabhumi Airport with a re-entry permit. Some individuals reported smooth entries, particularly those with higher-level ED visas like ED Plus, provided they carry supporting documents such as school ID and proof of enrollment. However, others faced challenges, including inquiries about their studies and issues when leaving during their course. It's advisable for ED visa holders to keep relevant documents handy to avoid complications during entry.

(This is based on my experience) If you're an ED Plus holder (taking a degree/bachelor or higher, there shouldn't be any problem. But I always recommend bringing your supporting documents such as your school ID and your student status certificate or any proof that you are studying in that college/university just in case you are asked. Also, re-entry permit is exempted under this type of visa. I hope this helps. :)
Not smooth even in chiang mai so many asking questions. Since my documents its in another luggage. Asking did you learn how to speak thai? How long you stay in thailand
If you are on an ED visa from a language school or similar and have left the country while you are meant to be studying then you might have an issue. Many get denied entry in this situation, have your school principal on speed dial
