What was the experience of re-entering Thailand with a DTV visa after traveling to Malaysia?

Left Thailand and returned for the first time on the DTV.

Flew down to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and back into Hat Yai, Thailand.

Zero issues. No questions.

Just a big smille when I handed the cute border guard girl my passports size, laminated DTV visa.

She stamped my passport with a date 180 days from today.

Did you come back by plane or by land/train? That's not related to the DTV, just asking out of curiosity.

So they can't see your dtv on computer and that's why have to laminate it? Heard many people do this...

they can pull it up and you don’t have to laminate it. It just makes it easier and the border guards seem to like it.

Anonymous participant 919 yes. But some people have had issues or have been denied re-entry.

Others are simply worried about it so I thought I’d share.

You know, being nice and helpful and such…
