TLDR : Answer Summary
The COVID visa extension (60 days) is available to those who are currently in Thailand on a visa exemption. However, individuals must first apply for a regular 30-day extension before applying for the COVID extension. It's important to note that applications are subject to approval by an immigration officer, and the final day to apply is July 25th.

Hi! Where should we get the Covid Visa? Chaengwattana or IT Square?

it depends on what visa you entered Thailand with.

If you entered visa exempt meaning you had no visa at all and were stamped in for 30 days, then you go to Lak Si.

If you had a real visa then you go to Chaeng Watthana.

Noted. This is for my brother. He arrived in Bangkok last May 19 with a visa on arrival. He then went again to Lak Si for 30 days of tourist extension last June 13. Do you think he can still apply for a covid visa? For the reason of we wanted him to spend more time with us since the whole family now are living here except my brother.

I doubt he arrived with visa on arrival and probably arrived visa exempt.

Anyone can apply until July 25th, but the immigration officer will be the one that decides if it's approved or not. Some offices have stopped accepting applications, some hand it out like candy. The only way to know is to apply.

Anyone can apply. If you received a visa exempt entry, you have to use your regular 30 day extension before applying for Covid extension.

The final day to apply for Covid extension is July 25th.

Just because you apply does not mean it will be approved, and it is at the discretion of the immigration officer processing your request.

Sometimes it's given out freely without questions, and sometimes there are a lot of questions.
