Hi all! I keep seeing posts about Covid-19 extensions. I’m wondering if you need a visa to be eligible for these extensions, or if you are visa exempt you can still apply for a Covid extension. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for the Covid-19 extension even if you entered Thailand under a visa-exempt status.
I'm not in Thailand yet, arriving on Friday and trying to figure out how to have the longest time there. So I get 45 days first, then extend for 30, and then I could do a COVID extension?
the current "Covid19 unable to fly back home" 60-days visa is only possible to apply for until July 29th. Your own expectations are way off . .only if Thailand extends the "unable to fly back" scheme, you can hope for an extension inside the legal scheme
