I used One Stop Visa Service at the bottom of Soi 6 near Beach Road. They do all the paperwork and you never wait in line & for the process, it’s so worthwhile rather than spending your own time hoping you get it right. Tell them I referred you for the best price!
I flew Emirates from the US to Thailand on a one-way flight to settle here this past January. I had a ‘legit’ onward flight and also booked a bus trip to the Cambodian border as a second means to leave the country. Neither were asked for so a total waste but then again combined it was less than $30 USD.
If you’re in Pattaya, go to One Stop Visa at the Beach Road end of Soi 6, just go there before the evening fun starts. Ask for Mark and tell them I recommended you for a better deal!
I did it in the states before I left to come to Thailand in January of this year, when I had ATT, and now am with Tello on a $6/month plan that gives me unlimited text & 100 talk minutes. I haven’t barely used it because I use WhatsApp but didn’t want to permanently give up my long-time mobile phone number. It was a pain in the ass to do it even with the directions Tello gave me. I ended up having to have them on the phone to walk me thru the steps and ATT was not easy to deal with in the process. Your phone must be paid off and unlocked in order to do this. I also now have a Thailand phone number so usually work with that. Hope this helps.
Not interested in having my life’s financial planning history explained nor judged. I am able to maximize my budget of my current retirement benefits just fine and also have a lot of outside interests & hobbies to keep me busy & content. Just having a hard time convincing many here that all I want is a small income to make my nest egg last longer. Plus, to do it legally within the boundaries of Thai law, which means most likely online remote work.
: I’m good in the ‘peace of mind’ category, not sure why anyone would question my happiness level, as all I originally asked was if anyone know of some sort of legal way to work part time while living here and yes, I’ve been looking for remote online work with a US preferred company.
