Huge shoutout to James Miller…

for previously sharing this graphic. In and out of Counter “J” approved +30 days in about an hour. Would have been faster if I hadn’t missed my appointment slot. No mention of TM30 in BKK. I’ll share again in hopes it continues to be productive to the group.

Hey I wanted to be 100% sure: entered in FEB on TR 60 and already extended the 30 days in MTT.

Wanted to go now for my 1st covid extension. For me on TR 60 this has been moved to CW right?

In regard to the stuff I need to bring: Apart from the picture and the signed copies of passport , TM6, entry stamps and my TM30 slip. Are there any special forms I need to fill out? I would love to get them ready before I head there, but don’t know where to find them.

Thanks a lot 🙏🏻

ATTENTION BANGKOK MEMBERS:

Counter Choice at Muang Thong Thani Immigration office.

IF you BOUGHT a tourist visa from a thai consulate before you came here and when you arrived you were stamped in for 60 days you use COUNTER J

IF you didn't buy ANY visa before you came here and when you arrived you were stamped in FREE for 30 days you use COUNTER K <- This is the counter that is JAMMED packed with people.

We advise no matter what counter you use book an appointment at this website IF you can before you go.

Went to MTT today to extend (US) TR-60. Arrived at 7:30 AM. Outside the door, Counter K lines were forming with tons of people. Counter J line had only a handful. I asked and was allowed to go in since I was about an hour early. Once inside I was given a queue card and waited to be called to have the paperwork examined. No online appointments were checked. Easy in and out within a hour.

I was not sure where to line up when I arrived so I asked one of interns which one for visa extension. He told me to go to the K line and I said my visa is for Counter J. He asked what my visa is and if it's where I had gone before for the last extension and I said yes and he lead me to the correct line. So if you don't know much Thai, don't just say you're here for an extension and be sure to mention your counter and visa or you might get sent to where you don't belong by mistake.
