A few thoughts: while well intentioned and all, I am getting annoyed at the ridiculous, fear mongering speculation that holders of this visa somehow won't be afforded the privilege of making continuous in-out trips every 6 months as expressed in articles like this and Integrity Legal's videos.
After all, it's a 5 year multiple entry visa. That's how it has been designed and remote work is specifically allowed.
Not only that, but as holders of 1 year non-O and non-B multiple entry visas (both past and present) such as myself can attest to - continuous residence in the country doing border runs (in this case every 90 days) is most certainly allowed and no questions have ever been raised about this.
The only thing you might be asked to do at a small number of borders is stay out for a night or two. Ranong might ask for 20000 Baht when coming back in but if you gently remind them of what visa you're on this is often "forgotten". The issue at that border is, they mostly see Russians and westerners living in Phuket or Samui on visa exempt stamps doing regular border runs, so when an individual with a visa comes along that doesn't fit this mold, officials don't know what to do.
As I travel for business and pleasure outside of the country on average once every 60 days, I never ever have any questions asked and am always granted essentially automatic re-entry and I expect this to continue on the DTV.
