Criminal Record Certificates

I need to get a criminal record certificate to prove I have no criminal history in Thailand for a European Visa. I know there’s a station in Bangkok that provides these but I’ve heard there is also one in Chiang Mai. After a search it seems like the Police Forensic Center in Chiang Mai provides them but only for Thailand use? Does anybody know if this is correct or have done one recently themselves? If I have to travel to Bangkok for an international use certificate I can but Chiang Mai is a lot closer for me

Hello, I am moving to Hua Hin with my husband. He will be applying for a 50+ visa. Do we need anything besides a marriage certificate with translation and apostille? The consulate in our country asks for a medical certificate, a certificate of no criminal record, and others. Are there any changes?

# 🇹🇭 DTV Approved - Freelancer - Vienna embassy

Hey, I just wanted to share my recent experience with applying for DTV through Vienna embassy.

I am really thankful for many already answered questions in this group, and for available pdf templates I randomly found uploaded here.

After I compiled all supporting documents, the process was super fast.

📅 Applied: 12th February

📍 Embassy: Vienna

📅 Additional documents: 12th February ( 1 item )

✅ Approved: 17th February

Country: 🇸🇰 Slovakia ( No TH embassy in my country )

Here is structured list of uploaded documents as I put them into supporting form in my application:

Proof of funds

* Section cover page explaining details of incoming funds - I have separate business and personal accounts

* Bank statements showing funds in my personal bank account

* Last 6 invoices as my income from work

Proof of work:

* Section cover page - Here I specified I have no working relations with any company in Thailand

* Portfolio - it was more like CV with details what I do and for how long

* Contract aggreement

* Letter of no objection for remote work signed by my client

* Self-employment registration

Proof of accommodation:

This section was confusing so I put there what I thought was right. Also it's based on previous experiences with Vienna embassy posted in this group.

* Section cover page

* Scanned National ID

* Passport page with stamp leaving Thailand

* Booked flight tickets from Vienna to Bangkok

* Rental agreement as proof of having accommodation in Thailand

* Recent phone bill, stating my current address in Slovakia - I didn't even bother to translate this

Additional documents as requested by the embassy

* Criminal record certificate

I had all documents translated into English, but only few were done through certified agency. I really wonder how much the agencies rely on AI these days.

This took forever to compile and upload, I rebooked my flights twice 😅 But approved in 4 working days total. 😀

Great news — my Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) was approved today under the Self-Employment / Business category! 🇹🇭💼

📍 Embassy: Vienna

📅 Submitted: 25th October

📄 Additional Docs Requested: 31st October

Requested documents included:

* Proof of accommodation (at least 1 month)

* Criminal record certificate

* Last entry stamp to Thailand

* 3 months of pay slips or invoices *(even though I already provided 6 months in the initial application)*

Approved: 4th November

Initial documents submitted:

* Passport

* 3 months of bank statements

* 6 months of invoices

* No objection certificate from client

* Contract agreement

* Cover letter explaining what I do and why I want to stay in Thailand

* Portfolio

* Self-employment registration

* Tax returns

* Proof of location: ID card, flight ticket, property insurance

Thank you everyone for all the help and valuable information! 👏

Excluding weekends, it took only 7 working days for my visa to be approved. I’m honestly surprised it was this fast, but I think it’s thanks to thorough preparation. 🙏

I'm about a month out from filling out a marriage visa. Do I need to secure health insurance from a Thai insurer along with a certificate?

Looks like I also need proof of retirement. Is that a pay stub?

Copy of criminal record here

Certificate of health from my health Dept.

All notorized and all notorized by my Sec. of State.

I'm in the USA

I am a German Citizen and will travel next week to Jakarta to apply for an O-A Visa, which seems to be necessary to get the goethailand Application approved.

Two questions

For the A-O Visa, do I really need to have 800 000 Baht or equivalent on a Bank account? I have not. Some information says only 800 $ per Person are necessary. What is the situation? what to do?

They ask for a document saying no criminal record. I have not such a statement. Where and how to get it? Is such a statement really required? I have not been 20 years in Germany

Please help if you have knowledge. From 2012 to 2017 I had retirement visas for Thailand in my old passport would that help?

Joachim

Any help is very appreciated

Ok here I go!

Thinking of applying for Non Immigration O-A retirement visa.

I have downloaded requirements from a Royal Thai Condulate General Los Angeles.

One requirement:

Called FBI. No help. Called a place that does fingerprints. No help?

Any body know how to do this?

Planning on getting an ED visa from KL in a few weeks. Does anyone have any reports on how smooth/quick the process is there and if there is usually long queues at the embassy. Im also interested in how strictly the requirements are enforced, particularly the "Certified criminal record in the applicant’s country of origin", and whether such a criminal record certificate has to come from my country of origin, the UK, as opposed to my country of residence, Thailand? Getting one in Thailand will naturally be significantly easier than the UK, but not having to get one at all will be easier still.
