I'll be applying for a Long Stay Visas (OA, OX) this year and i'm just trying to get my head around the two Insurance requirements and the difference between them.

1. Foreign Insurance Certificate issued from the country where the application is submitted

2. Health Insurance issued by a Thai or foreign insurer for general illnesses

Are these two seperate insurance policies?

We are a married couple returning to Thailand on a Non A-O visa (retirement) and Non O visa (dependent) in a few months, I understand we need 12 months insurance, but can this be insurance from any country provided it covers the requirements or does it need to be a Thai insurance company? The embassy sent me a link longstay.tgia.org but this is only Thai companies, also any recommendations are appreciated, thanks

To Admin... My OP stated the policy I acquired is with a THAI insurance company which is included on the list of approved THAI insurance companies list. Question; Does Thai immigration (division 1) need this form for a foreign insurance company even though my policy is with a THAI insurance company.
