What are the legal, financial, and visa implications of joining an estate committee in Thailand as an expat?

Good morning, I'm thinking of joining my estate committee but no one seems able to tell me if this could have any legal, financial or visa implications, so wondered if any one has any information or experience?

The estate doesn't have any 3rd party insurance so I'm wondering who would bear responsibility in case of an accident or potential claim.
