What are the legal, financial, and visa implications of joining an estate committee in Thailand as an expat?

Good morning, I'm thinking of joining my estate committee but no one seems able to tell me if this could have any legal, financial or visa implications, so wondered if any one has any information or experience?

The estate doesn't have any 3rd party insurance so I'm wondering who would bear responsibility in case of an accident or potential claim.

Thanks for any advice

TLDR : Answer Summary
An individual is considering joining an estate committee but is concerned about potential legal, financial, and visa implications. They seek advice on responsibility for accidents or claims, especially since there is no third-party insurance in place. Comments suggest caution, indicating that the committee may bear responsibility for accidents in common areas and advising against joining.

I'm no lawyer but it sounds like the committee would be responsible if someone injured in a common area.
