Hello all! My wife and I are back in the UK at the start of the process to apply to London for the COE to return. She has a WP with a valid extension until November. I have a valid extension based on retirement until December. I was attached to her visa as her dependent for a couple of years in the past but changed to retirement in Thailand a couple of years ago when I hit 50.
I know a retirement extension in itself is not a qualification for entry at present. However I was hoping a few wise heads could give their opinion on whether RTE London are likely to accept our application as is or make me apply for a new visa as an "official" dependent of my wife. No probs with marriage certificate or re-entry permits.
Many thanks!!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether their retirement extension will be accepted for re-entry into Thailand, given their past status as a dependent on their wife's work permit. They are currently in the UK applying for a Certificate of Entry (COE) and want to know if they need to apply for a new visa as a 'dependent' of their wife.
