Hello! I want to get my second METV and to come to Thailand in December. I got first METV in November 2018, left Thailand last day of July, having one stay extension done in Bangkok Immigration Centre. No overstay etc.

QUESTION:

Do you think it will be safe to fly this year? I keep hearing about rejecting people at the BKK airport, even with valid METV. I'm considering getting ED visa alternatively

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on the safety of flying to Thailand with a second METV after previously spending considerable time there. They express concerns about the possibility of being rejected at the airport despite having a valid visa, and are considering an alternative ED visa. Comments provide mixed insights, with some cautioning about past stay durations affecting entry while others suggest that a fast-track immigration service might help.

You asked this same question on October 12th... The many good suggestions and answers given you then.... are the same for today.

It all depends on your real history of living in Bangkok. You do not have to tell us, we do not care at all as we do not end up in the detention center. But if you only stayed 7 months this year inside Thailand and you like to live here again starting from December, it could be a challenge at the airport. Be prepared and have a plan B

I stayed here total 197 days, but it wasn't a unremitting stay. Been going out and in 4 times this year

I really don't think you'll have any problem (somewhat depending on your previous entry history.) Total conjecture, of course. You might wanna buy a fast track immigration service. I have a feeling it makes you look good. Total conjecture again :)

And if you don't want to be send to Europe, many times I read some tips over here to first fly to a neighbour country and then from there: or a flight to BKK or use a landborder.

Understandable. I'm sure you're aware of the three proofs you should carry. As this topic will be closed shortly, feel free to pm me about the fast track thing.

Where can I get it? Online before departure?

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. I just want to avoid being send back to Europe :)

You've been in thailand 8 months and out 4 months during the last year? Might possibly raise an eyebrow at immigration. I'm not the expert, but it begins to sound like you're not a tourist.

Last year (2018) just twice:

- 23 may till 7 june

- 20 nov - 17 January 2019

In total I spent less than 200 days this year (less than 7 months)
