I have a Multi O-A visa issued in UK valid from 9.10.20 to 8.10.21. I used it to enter Thailand between 23.10.20 and 19.4.21. I'm now in UK. I plan to arrive in Chiang Mai on 1.10.21, just after arrival quarantine restrictions are due to be lifted. I will also buy the required O-A and covid insurance for a year starting 1.10.21
My questions are:
1. Will I get a full year entry stamp on 1.10.21?
2. Can I then use a multi-entry re-entry permit to leave and return to Thailand multiple times during that one year period, even though my O-A visa will have expired?
3. There is a hand written instruction from the UK embassy on the visa ending ‘..28/10/2021’. Is this a further restriction?
Thanks in advance, Gary

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a Multi O-A visa set to expire on 8.10.21 and plans to enter Thailand on 1.10.21. They ask if they will receive a full year stamp on arrival, if they can use a multi-entry re-entry permit despite the visa expiration, and whether a note from the UK embassy indicates further restrictions. Responses confirm that the user will be stamped in for a full year, advise on obtaining a multi-entry permit after entry, and clarify that the handwritten note may relate to the expiration of the health insurance policy tied to the O-A visa.
Some insurance policies don't begin on the day you take them out but they have a period of two weeks or so that you are not covered. Best read the fine print.
Make sure that your insurance is active and in the database on the day you apply. Bring a printed copy of the insurance certificate with you. When you do this the first time don’t worry about losing a few days because they will stamp you in only until the end of your insurance policy.
Thanks for the prompt reply. My first year insurers were a U.K. company ‘Go Walkabout Travel’ who were happy to provide the required certificate for both OA and Covid. I was hoping to use them again?
he’s already used the visa to enter on October 2020 and April 21... so will he still get another year out of the same visa?? Would it not expire on the 8th October 21?
So therefore would he not only get 90 days on arrival and need to make new visa??
