Hello I leave Sunday 9 August to Thailand. I apply 3 weeks ago for non immigrant O visa for 3 months.

Today I receive they not give visa because they say my middle name was not correct spel and the cannot read prove of salary.

The file accepted that prove .

I cannot check if it is true because the close my application.

They canceled me request..money is gone.

Are there alternatives when I arrived in Bangkok?

Or maybe other suggestions.

Thank for help.
Answer summary
The user has experienced denial of a Non-Immigrant O visa due to issues with their application, specifically incorrect spelling of their middle name and unreadable proof of salary. They seek alternatives to enter Thailand before their travel date. Responses suggest considering visa-exempt entry for 60 days, with a potential 30-day extension available through an immigration office in Thailand. Others recommend ensuring accurate application submissions in the future and provide advice on what documents should be prepared for entry to avoid complications.

Two suggestions

Take screenshots for every page of applications so that you will at least understand what they say next time. Have someone else proof read your application before submitting.

If you misspelled your name, that's a good indicator of where the issues originated. Thai immigration is not known for overlooking anything submitted incorrectly, including spelling errors.

OP
Dennis Starkey they say i not spel well my middle name..but i can not control because they cancel my request. They say they cannot read my proof of salary...but on the file i must send they accept that paper.

I not need screenshot.

Even sending email not works.

"they say i not spel well" right there, just another misspelling, its actually supposed to be "spell" ??? you can't control??? sure you can, proof read and/or have someone else do BEFORE you submit... this can't be that difficult to understand. "they accepted your application??? i assume that means only that they did an preliminary inspection, and you actually at least submitted all the forms requested. however upon a full review.... you misspelled your name... OMG. once you submit, you just can't go in a update/change anything. There are people/companies that will do all of this for you but not for free, and for some it seems a worthwhile expense. once you hit submit, what your submitted is locked in, and not changeable.

OP
Dennis Starkey you are a very annoying guy...probably very lonely. If you like to criticize maybe look on others sites.

I ask for advice and not for correction how a write.

Tell the file accepted my declaration of salary..so it must be readable . If someone in the ambassade say he cannot read..there is something wrong with the online system.

Perhaps too difficult for you to understand.

Nitpicker.

Given the large number of basic spelling errors in your post, you don’t have a strong argument for questioning that as the cause of your application refusal.

Ralph Tyson no shit Sherlock! Of course it’s not but he’s questioning/denying the possibility that a misspelling of his middle name is one of the reasons for his application failing , i am saying given the multiple examples of his lack of basic spelling and attention to detail that he isn’t in a strong position to question that.

OP
HappyTurkey1590 what spellings errors ? You are teacher ? I tell on my messages that they say my middle name was not spel correct... that cannot be true because the computer do it himself if you have use to site before.

And if they not can read the paper of salary, why the file accepted.

Ruud Maenhout 😂 what spelling errors? Seriously you say that and then follow it with a basic spelling error, that’s laughably proving my point… look you most probably need someone with you to double check things because computers regularly make transcribing errors scanning documents!

Yes you did apply, the file you mentioned acknowledge that. But, acknowledgment of application doesn't mean your Visa is approved. This is my understanding from reading what you mentioned.

You could apply to the Non-Imm-O Visa AGAIN, before you fly to Thailand. Enter Thailand visa-exempt and get stamped in for 60 days. Then when the Non-O visa gets issued while you are inside Thailand, print it and exit Thailand, for example go to Laos or Malaysia or fly to Singapore. Stay there for a few days. Fill in and submit a new TDAC and re-enter Thailand, and activate your Non-Imm-O Retirement Visa.

Can't you submit the application again and change you day of departure?
Greg ***********

Gert Cornelisse no need to change the flight dates. He can apply now and enter Thailand visa-exempt. When the visa gets issued while he already is in Thailand, he just needs to exit and activate the 90-days of the visa when he re-enters . . . .the problem however is, he has already collected quite a high number of visa-exempt entries

Greg Alexander Problem being he’s supposed to stay in the country he’s applying from until the application is approved.

Donald Campbell No, it is not necessary in the case of an application to a Non-Imm-O visa. He does NOT need to remain in the country where he applied. If the visa gets issued while he already is in Thailand, he can activate the visa by doing a border bounce. This situation happens to many people every year, they get their visa issued after they have already departed their home country.

Ruud Maenhout So, you didn’t apply for the one year extension of stay? If you stayed two months that time would finish in September -.we aren’t there yet.

Depending on your travel history in Thailand, you can get 60 days on arrival visa exemption. In the last 30 days go to the immigration office for your district and apply for a 30 day extension. This costs 1900 baht. You also need to fill in a form (TM7), have a passport photo and a copy of your TM30 (your hotel can give you this).

Thai Jag if this is the case, he cannot follow my plan . . . . . . . . . My advice to him was, apply again before he flies to Thailand, enter Thailand visa-exempt. When the visa gets issued while he already is in Thailand, he just needs to exit and activate the 90-days of the visa when he re-enters. But if he has an excessive history of visa-exempt entries, he can't do that

Sounds like you didn't check your biodata carefully enough before submitting your application. The OCR used on the evisa site is notoriously inaccurate.

Currently visa exempt entries are still 60 days and you can extend that for a further 30 days at an immigration office inside Thailand that serves the area where you will stay, so if you were only coming for 90 days that's the solution.

If you were hoping to get a 12 month extension of stay before the 90 days ran out then you need to apply for that 90 day Non-O visa again. Unless you already have a Thai bank account you won't be able to apply inside Thailand, and not all immigration offices can issue that visa in any case, so you will most likely have to leave Thailand to a nearby country and apply again using the consulate that serves the location you choose. The application process itself is identical wherever you choose, check your biodata carefully before submitting.

I have no interest to stay longer than 3 months that is the reason I ask for non -immigrant O visa for 90 days.

Before I get tourist visa for 60 days but that give problems.

@Ruud *********
if you've already had problems entering on a visa exempt or tourist visa then I would delay your trip to give you sufficient time to apply again for the 90 day Non-O visa. The alternative is to take your chances of being denied entry but make sure you have an accommodation booking or a letter of invitation from your wife, a ticket back out and have 20k baht or equivalent in cash available to show
