Ireland calling! Two years ago I studied in Thailand and used Non ED visa. Dublin Thai consulate did job very easy and good flow. Now London! ( Dublin consulate closed). They ask and ask more and more documents. And finally they ask me -Confirmation letter from Office of Basic Education- My school never use that document because don’t need it. My school can do it but is too long process. My question to those who applied for Non Ed whether they demanded this document from another embassy? Because I think that they playing with me. Thank you for all yours answers🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user expresses frustration with the increased documentation requirements for a Non-ED visa at the Thai consulate in London, contrasting it with their previous smooth experience at the Dublin consulate. They specifically mention the unusual request for a confirmation letter from the Office of Basic Education, which their school does not use, and seek insights from others who have applied for similar visas regarding this requirement.
In every other country in the world the procedures are simple : a translated copy of your degrees are sufficient if they have been "ratified" by your embassy ... when people want to teach in Thailand they give up ... far too bureaucratic ... far too costly ... that is why English education is weak ... teachers who would and want to teach just give up after a few rounds of Thai bureaucracy ... sometimes I think they want to keep Thailand uneducated ...
Guys if I understand correctly STV I can’t change, but with Tourist visa I can do it! For me doesn’t mater which kind off visa I must finish my studying.
yes Steve is correct the STV cannot be converted to any other type of visa and its presently being phased out. I would cancel your application personally.
Search through group about STV also many posts about people converting to non ed in country
