Hi guys, my French friend gone at Savannakhet for ask a non-o visa +50 for 3 months, he have all the papers they ask, I called the consulate, but they refused and said he have to go ask non-o visa in France, because it’s the first time he ask non-o visa. Someone can explain me what is the problem? Will be the same at another consulate? Thank u
TLDR : Answer Summary
A French expat experienced difficulties obtaining a Non-O visa in Savannakhet, despite having all necessary documentation. The consulate advised that first-time applicants over 50 must apply for this visa in their home country, France, rather than at the Laos location. Several comments suggest that the Savannakhet consulate typically does not issue such visas and recommend alternative strategies for obtaining the desired visa.
