Hi. Topic: the 1-year extension to a Non-O 90-day visa. Assuming all eligibility and financial requirements can be met, which option of the two : the extension based on Retirement, or extension based on marriage to a Thai, which is easiest, less hassle ? ( I know about the Bt400,000 price difference.)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The extension of a Non-O visa can only follow the reason for which the visa was originally issued. If the visa was granted based on marriage, it must be extended based on marriage; similarly, if it was issued for retirement, it can only be extended for retirement. Therefore, the choice depends on the original basis of your Non-O visa.

You don't get to decide. If a non-O visa was issued for marriage, it can only be extended for marriage. If a non-O visa was issued for retirement, it can only be extended for retirement. You can only change reasons between extensions, but you cannot change reasons between the visa and the extension.
