WHAT'S THE FRIENDLIEST BANK FOR VISAS? YELLOW OR GREEN?
Answer summary
The discussion revolves around which bank is the friendliest for expats in Thailand when it comes to visa-related services. Many participants mentioned Kasikorn Bank (Green) and SCB (Green) as positive experiences, particularly in terms of ease of obtaining bank statements and communication. Conversely, Krungthai Bank (Yellow) was mentioned positively too, albeit with some caution about account management. Participants pointed out the common practice of referring to banks by their colors rather than their names, which can lead to confusion. Recommendations vary, but Kasikorn and SCB seem to be favored options for expats looking for reliable banking related to visa services.

Why do farangs have such a hard time referring to banks by their names? This is the only country where it seems Westerners insist on calling banks by the colour of their logo. This just confuses people. What shade of blue? What shade of purple? Is that pink or lavender? etc.
I havve both,,i never see any relation between the banks and my yearly extension of temporary stay, but for daily use i prefer Kasikorn befor krungsri ayuthhaya
From my experience it really depends on where you intend to live. Every branch, every bank, every city, and every province seem to have different "rules".
Dustyn Beaudoin we had this with Bangkok bank, we only have the balance needed for our DTV Visa & don’t really touch the money or if we use a small amount we put if back as soon as we have it it seems ok so far 🙏 we also didn’t use an agent maybe this helped?
Isaac Camacho yes it's a very common misconception that you cannot get a bank account on DTV, especially in Facebook troll world, I am also on DTV and got a bank account no problem 👍
I got mine with krungthai just had to get a yellow book and passport ,got my 8k in there ,not sure how things will go with letter to immigration when the 2 months are up but they are a friendly bank ,3 others would,nt help me even with a yellow book.
Isaac Camacho we had a Bangkok Bank account but they closed it down so we moved our money to Krungthai, you just need your passport Drivers license rental address & your DTV paperwork to show that you have paid & attended lessons. (We do cooking classes) we will change to the Non O in a couple of years as my Husband will be 50.

Vincent Vega here's something that'll make you go Hmmmm , and to make you ponder the King's net worth is $70 billion dollars, Donald Trump's net worth is around 5 to 6 billion.
