Can anyone first-hand recommend a company that offers an 'in Thailand' DTV application service? I've reached out to some advertisements, but they don't all pass the legitimacy test. Thank you.

NEVER use your 800k account for daily expenses. Makes absolutely no sense, have no idea why anyone would do that.
First of all : use a seperate fixed deposit account of kasikorn for your 800k.
This will isolate your 800k from any daily use accounts. You can never accidently draw from this acxount, because you would have to go to the bank with your bankbook and passport. This makes it as good as impossible to make a stupid mistake. And you get a little bit more intrest as extra.
You can then use a normal savings deposit for daily expenses.
Though I would still open a SCB account for your real daily expenses (without bankbook).
2 banks are better than one. Just in case --> ALWAYS have a back-up bank !!! (Also in your home country). And SCB has a very good app for daily use, and a bit better intrest rates as extra.
