When should I apply for the DTV visa if I plan to move to Thailand in August?
I plan on moving to Thailand end of August. I already have my flight booked and hotel. When is a good time to apply for the DTV?

Realize DTV is not the correct visa to move to Thailand, it can be tricked that way, but you have to live with some inconveniences as a result of the tricking, like leaving every 180 days, not be able to open a bank account because you are just a tourist.
And of course you are dependant from your soft power activity or your remote work.

actually it depends on the embasay. It is full of messages of people who have been waiting for a longer time. I will apply in October planning to go in January just to make sure there is time enough.KC ****
