We have 30 day tourist visa exempt/on arrival stamps ending April 10th. We plan to get 30 day extensions. If we went to an immigration office tomorrow, would the extension start from April 10th - so ending May 4th? Or would it start from tomorrow's date (so ending on April 21st)? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 30-day extension for your visa exemption will start from the last day of your current stay, which is April 10th, extending your stay until May 4th.

It will go on the last day of your visa exemption stamp...FYI if in BKK you can do the same day you arrive in country for a 30 day extension on your visa exemption stamp or at the 45 day mark on an SETV/METV...all other locations contact the local immigration office to find out their rules for extensions...cost stays the same everywhere at ฿1,900

Thank you. The closest immigration office is on Koh Samui. Will try to find that info and post here.

The 30 days are added to your current stay. I suggest to plan other activities tomorrow as it is sunday and immigration is closed

ah yes :) Thank you again. So just to be clear - if we go on Monday then our 30 day extension would be valid until May 4th?
