Hi there, has there been any updated news on what will happen to those with tourist visas come July 31st? Will they immediately be asked to leave Thailand or is another extension possible? Alternatively, are there any neighbouring countries open to doing a visa run? Thank you ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
As of now, the amnesty for those with tourist visas in Thailand will end on July 31st. While there have been no further announcements regarding extensions, it is advised to stay updated for any official news. Some neighboring countries may permit visa runs, but be cautious as exiting Thailand may prevent re-entry.

I don't think there's anything else that needs to be added, so I'm closing comments. When changes occur, they will be posted as an announcement. Good luck!

The amnesty allows people to stay in Thailand NO LATER THEN July 31st. There has been no further announcements about what to do at this time. Some neighboring countries may be open, however once you leave Thailand you may not be able to return.

My advice: Continue being on amnesty, wait for any news that may be released. It will be posted as an announcement.

You're welcome. Remember too, July 31 is 8 weeks away, and lots of things may happen in that time.
