About the Interview π
The interview itself was around 15 minutes for me.
Hereβs what they asked:
- They asked for my passport and also to confirm my full name
- They asked me to explain why I want to apply for the DTV
- They asked to see my enrolment papers issued by the Soft Power course provider.
- They asked to see evidence that I had paid for the course.
- They asked to see my bank account live through the banking app as well as the printed financial documents that I had submitted as part of my online application
- They asked me to show them the transaction history for the most recent 3 months and to explain a few transactions. For me, this was pretty simple and straight forward as there were incoming amounts from my passive income sources and some regular freelance work
- They asked what I did to support myself
- They asked me where I plan to stay and I showed them a printed copy of my current lease agreement in Thailand
They finished the interview shortly afterwards and informed me that the result would be emailed to me later within the same day.
I also tried to speak to them in some simple Thai sentences and phrases and although that isnβt required at all, I think it helped lighten the mood a bit and they even gave me some great advice on how to pronounce certain sentences π£οΈ πΉπ
Overall, it was an eye-opening experience and I am grateful to Thailand, Laos and everyone in this group who has shared helpful advice.
Good luck with your applications everyone! π
