We ran this poll a while back, but the group has more than doubled since then, so it felt like a good time to ask again.

Various comments reveal members' current visa statuses including Non-Immigrant O visas, extensions based on work, and Tourist visas. Currently wifey and I are on a Tourist Visa. Bought an Investment Condo in Hua Hin and checking out various parts of Thailand. We have decided to settle in Rayong, after we've renovated the condo. Will be coming over in Oct on a Non-O, rent initially here and then buy ourselves a place.

Who is asking you for the information? The BOI, or your agent? Because the longest I've ever heard was 3 months. Sounds like you might be getting scammed.
