TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry pertains to the relevant visa requirements for running yoga retreats in Thailand from November to March, specifically in locations like Koh Samui, Phuket, or Koh Phangan. Community responses suggest collaborating with a licensed company to ensure compliance with local laws, as there have been incidents of deportation related to unauthorized yoga instruction. Additionally, there are comments highlighting the competitive landscape of yoga teaching on the islands and warnings regarding potential scams.

Sorry, but there are already many yoga teachers and retreats on the islands. Not only the islands.

Better off hooking up with an already legal company and go through them. Think i read they arrested and deported a yoga instructor last month on koh phangan.

that’s fair, it’s hardly specialist enough that it would be hard to find Thais that can do the job.

Foriegners are legally allowed to be yoga instructors. I have friends who had tbe movement clinic in phuket which was initially yoga and dance movement instruction and then moved on to pilates and feldenkrais. But was legally set up.

People think they can just come in do a two week retreat and it be all cool. Many have done in the past but now authorities are checking more
