Hello everyone, I'm new to the group, so sorry if this question has been asked a million times already. Is there a visa that doesn't require 800k baht to be sitting in a Thai account for moths beforehand?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquires about Thai visas that do not have the requirement of keeping 800,000 baht in a Thai bank account. Several comments respond by noting that there are multiple visa options available without that financial requirement, such as the Elite visa, DTV visa, LTR visa, Non-B visa, and tourist visas. Participants highlight the importance of considering personal qualifications and circumstances.

The retirement/over 50 visa (which requires 800k) only needs the funds in your account from an international transfer at the time of the Non-O application (except Jomtien). The 2 months seasoning is required for the 12 month extension.

don't forget Bangkok bank freezes your money for 3 months after... And immigration 'could' ask you to go back with your bank book after 3 months too...

no, I'd refer him to Brandon's post for that as why should zi guess what he qualifies for

There are lots of visas. But that doesn't matter.

What matters is what visa do you qualify for? Have you looked at your Thai embassy website?

We cannot guess everything about you and you've given literally no information for anyone to even try.

From what country? How old? Thai family? What do you want to do in Thailand? For how long? Etc etc
