Maybe give people an idea of what or why you want a visa. Tourist ? Education? Retirement etc People may be able to suggest the correct ones and the difference
I for many years as I am FIFO in Australia went to Thailand 2 weeks every month and never got stopped it's hit and miss depends on the io you give your passport to on the day. I still do 2 weeks every month but have long term visa now.
I’m over 55. & I want to stay in Thailand from November until mid February come back to the uk for a couple of months & go back to Thailand for a month or so. But I want to use Thailand as a base to visit other countries, the problem is the amount of times I enter Thailand
apply for a retirement visa with annual extensions or go for the wealthy retiree LTV which gives you 10 years without the need to renew/extend annually. Most go for the annual extended retirement visa. Keep in mind both visas need proof of a substantial amount of financial assets in a Thai bank account, investment or annual income.
you simply come in on a visa exempt entry that is for 60 days. During your time here you want to base out of Bangkok to visit other countries, and that is no problem. You are being an actual tourist. Lots of people do this as you can go anywhere in South East Asia from Bangkok in just a few hours. There is no limit on how many times you can do this. I personally know two people that have been doing exactly what you want to do for over two years now, with no problem at all leaving, and coming back to Bangkok. You are not trying to live in Thailand long term as a tourist, and are actually being a tourist visiting other countries. All you need is your passport, and your money, and suitcase. Immigration will be no problem at all for the plan you have.
