Apologies if this is asked a lot, I’ve had a search through posts and couldn’t find an answer. I’m applying for a non-b visa as a teacher from the UK. I need to upload a DBS check and I’m not clear on if that needs to be enhanced or standard. I’ve emailed the embassy in London and they replied ‘yes’ but didn’t clarify which dbs they were saying yes to!! 😫

One more question, if you’ve gone through the process to get a work permit as a teacher once in Thailand, which documents did you need to have attested I.e. PGCE, QTS, Bachelors?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is applying for a Non-B visa to teach in Thailand and is uncertain whether to submit a standard or enhanced DBS check. Initial responses suggest that a standard DBS check is typically acceptable for visa purposes, but enhanced checks may be necessary for roles involving children and vulnerable individuals. The user also inquires about which qualifications need to be attested for obtaining a work permit in Thailand.

Enhanced DBS required for working with children and vulnerable persons.

Standard was fine for an o-a visa so likely the same

requirements for teaching are not necessarily the same as they'll be working with kids. I think it's the same as the UK where you need the advanced check
