I have been following this group for many months as I have been in the process of moving here to retire. I am very grateful for the wise and sage advice of some of the members who take the trouble to provide concise and factual responses. Our journey so far:

* Non O Visa obtained in home country 2400 baht

* Arrived Thailand obtained TM30 and Certificate of Residency for wife to open bank account with KS Bank

* Waited 63 days for money to season and went to our banks to obtain required financials.

* Straight to Jomtien Immigration to join pre afternoon queue. In soon after 1pm and out by 1.25pm with both 12 month retirement extensions granted - 1900 baht. Collect passports and arrange re-entry stamp after 2 days.

The officer spoke excellent English and was professional and efficient. The only requirement over and above the official list of requirements was a hand drawn map of our location. We had already prepared this.

It is not difficult to do this process on your own if you prepare your documents well and listen to the guidance given in this group. Many thanks to all that provide their valuable assistance.
